Question, How Do I Buy Weapon Kits?

From what I understand there’s a chance to get some out of leveling cases, but I’m sure there’s a way to flat out buy them. ‘I’m a new player btw’

There isn’t a way, yet at least.
No idea when, or even if SD will consider adding them to the store, it’s been quite a while.

I’ve been playing more or less non-stop since they were added, gained like 60 levels, and have 11, lol. I’m seriously wondering if anyone has enough for the 45 it needs for a cobalt.

I once did the math on what would be a reasonable price for weapon kits from SD’s point of view without cannibalizing the sales of expert weapon cases and ended up with about $50 per weapon kit. I doubt there would be many people actually buying them.

Lol, well it’s not like SD actually needs to value them so highly.
Sure, based on the prices of other things you end up with a meme of a number, but there’s no actual reason why they couldn’t just release weapon kits for far cheaper. Sure it might devalue crafted cards a bit, but IMO that’s not entirely a bad thing.

The way I see it, pretty much everything in DB is massively overvalued. And I believe with lower prices, SD could actually get a lot more people to buy stuff with real money, as well as reducing the grind for those who can’t pay (that’s important too, because good word of mouth from people who can’t buy a game can bring in people who can).
Besides, cobalts aren’t nearly as coveted as when I joined. Now everyone’s more obsessed with special editions. Trying to keep the price up for something that seems a lot less amazing to most people now just seems silly

there might be obsidian skins for sale soon though. I reckon they will be of pristine quality as any other Special edition gun skin.

I think they’re gonna become unnecessary and dissolve into some form of currency in game
