Question About Skies

(DaRkFiRe) #1

I’m currently working on a snow map, but I don’t know the shader name for the Fueldump sky. I have seen fueldumpclouds and fueldumpsky, but neither of those work. Is there an sd_fueldumpsky shader? If so, where is it? If not, which is the correct shader name?

Thanks in advance.

I looked in the bsp file, and it’s “textures/fueldump/fueldumpsky”

Hmm, I tried that, and it doesn’t show up as a sky, but rather like it does in Radiant. Is their a compile option I need to do?

No, its simply not a sky shader, its just a texture. I’d tell you how to fix it, but then you might screw up fueldump itself, so its better not to try.

:???: I’ve used the fueldump sky before, and it didn’t botch anything up. IIRC, there is no texture called fueldumpsky.tga.

(DaRkFiRe) #6

i know there isn’t an actual fueldumpsky.tga, but rather a fueldumpsky.shader, and it uses the fueldumpclouds.tga as a Radiant image.

So what’s the problem then? Apply the shader, compile, and you’ve got a sky.

BTW, my last comment was directed at MrPink, not you.

Dude, I just assumed it was there.

Well, I tried the shader, but it didn’t work :banghead: I’ll just try it again, maybe I’m doing something wrong?
