question about GtkGensurf/GtkRadiant

Hello!

I use GtkRadian 1.3.8 and it’s plugin GtkGensurf to create my terrain.
Is there someway to select all the top sides of the terrain in some smart way rather than moving the mouse over each and every piece? I ONLY want to select the top side…so that I can apply texture to just the top…

THX!

Not as far as I know.

The only way I can think to do this is to make the sides in caulk texture and the tops in another texture. Then you could filter out caulk, select the whole terrain with Ctrl-Shift click and then deselct reselct one top face, that should cause it to have all top faces selected.

If you are making terrain terrain then I would recommend easygen. Gensurf is great for piles of rubble or broken walls, but it’s a slow and painstaking way of making good terrain.

THX! Well this thime I’d go for the Gensurf… As I now start from scratch with a new map I select Gensurf just because it creates that bumpy terrain as it looks realy realistic as I try to create the typical terrain where I’m from…
