Question about ETPro mapping

Got some guestion.
What is so special in ETPro maping? Like why are best ETPro maps only Brandorf, Aldernest etc…
Like why not Caen and stuff ?

not sure, but my guess is that the ‘etpro’ maps as you call them go through loads of betas to make the gameplay perfect for 6v6 matches.

So after you make the first release you get some feedback from a pro community (whinefire?) then adjust the map, release it again more feedback, etc…

Maps like braundorf and adlernest are focussed on competition play. There’s not more then 3 stages and most stages only have 3 ways to the objective. Because it’s 6on6, maps like daybreak or something dont work because it’s too huge and only playable in 10 vs 10 or more.

Because the competitive community plays etpro the maps on etpro servers will most likely be the maps they play in competitions.
