Question about downed players

So how much health does a downed enemy have? Is it dependant on the merc? Is it always consistant? What about damage? Is it the same damage as with them being up? Do you deal more damage with headshots?

I’m asking because it seems really inconsistant how much damage it takes to kill a downed enemy. Here’s an example. I was using the Timik-47 and had just downed a Bushwhacker. As he was in is falling animation, I landed at least 3 headshots on him, even getting the dink hit marker sound effect. However, it didn’t kill him. A Phoenix was able to run in and revive him. And instances like this don’t seem that uncommon. A Rhino will take a couple shots from an M9 to kill while I can empty a mag of DE.50 rounds into a Proxy and she won’t die.

Half of their max hp

It’s 100 HP unless they have less than 100 HP base health. So Phoenix would require 100 HP to finish off after he’s downed but Aura would only require 80 HP. Rhino, despite having 200 base HP still only requires 100 HP to gib.

Also, moving. Please start threads in the appropriate forum

Apologies, I thought this was the correct forum since it’s about general gameplay.

@Amerika - Is it? Because whenever I finish a downed player without an assist, the xp I get is always half the merc’s max HP (100xp for Rhino, 45xp for Proxy, 50 for Phoenix, etc.) so I would guess that it was proportionate with health. It would be weird if they were awarding different amounts of xp for the same amount of damage dealt.

That’s the way it was explained to me when I asked the same question oh so long ago in a dev stream. If somebody wants to test it though go ahead. People get things wrong all the time and sometimes bugs happen too.
