question about arty's design?

so i have been looking at the dirty bomb character designs (wanting to make some fan art), and i saw arty’s shirt design. i can’t figure out what its supposed to be? maybe an hour glass? or perhaps a bulls-eye? or maybe its an airplane or a gun? i really don’t know…so does anyone have any idea what it is or supposed to be?

I thought it was meant to be a stylistic representation of what he does.
The eye being where he’s spotting, the triangle the bombs dropping/airplane coming in and finally the little prongs under the triangle being the bombs as they split into smaller bomblettes.

Note: The patch on his shoulder I believe shows his real name, Here he is in concept art.

Also note how in a way, patch on his helmet looks like an eye with a beam projecting out of it.

Yup, The artist is called Georgi Simeonov aka Calander and seams to be one of the big go to artists for SD since he’s also done art for their multiplayer for Batman and some art for Brink too.
