Question about accuracy

(Xenithos) #1

Okay, so I played Rhino, Guardian, AND Aimee. Probably 30% of kills were Aimee headshots in the last bit, and 60% of first kills were Rhino, and then I had decent aim with Guardian’s spammy gun.

So… despite feeling like I was pretty freaking accurate most of the match (I popped people with Aimee to the point that I got an Unstoppable despite people trying desperately to off me…) It claims I had a 10.2% accuracy. So… how on earth is accuracy reported? Is every individual rhino shot counted? Does it only count the misses from Guardian, etc?
I usually have a 36-42% accuracy range in game whenever I don’t use shotguns on characters like Stoker/Javelin/Fragger, etc. Does it not count Rhino’s hits on the EV for when I shot it at the EV to destroy it??

I mentioned this in a recent reply on another post but I’ll explain it here. For the sake of brevity I’ll go and say that there used to be a faded out slot in the Ingame Profile, for your accuracy with specific weapons, specifically for the Minigun, Revivr, and Grenade Launcher. Due to them never being implemented they were removed from those pages but the bullets sprayed out from your Minigun that don’t hit a target and missed Revivr Shots will affect your accuracy in a negative manner on end-screens from Ranked and C.M.M. matches; for whatever reason Naders Grenades appear exempt from this or have a negligible impact on your Overall Accuracy at the end-screen compared to the other two.

Last time I played rhino a few days ago I ended up with 50% and 80% using pretty much only the minigun though. Pretty sure DB is just buggy af, lol

AFAIK using a weapon on a non-player will make your overall accuracy plummet into the floor.

  • minigun the EV
  • minigun a generator
  • shooting mines
  • etc

If you shoot it and it’s not a player, accuracy goes down, per bullet.

The weirdest thing is that in one of the patch notes they said they’d removed this… 0.o That shooting those objectgs wouldn’t plummet your acuracy anymore.

And you truly believe it’s working as intended?

I never said that. :stuck_out_tongue:

And I think skilled players do prefire corners. I do that too…thus I can care less about this stat.

Yeah…every shot counts now. I’ve noticed a few times playing Sparks my accuracy was pretty low.

Few days ago was teamed up with a Hunter who did pretty good but I was confused for a minute because it said he only had 2.5% accuracy.

I only prefire corners when I know there’s an enemy there. Which, frankly is rather often because the sounds in this game make everything easy mode sometimes.

Same. Otherwise all you’re doing is alerting your enemy to your position and scaring your team into thinking you’re shooting at something when there’s nothing there.

Not to mention the struggle of finding decent ammo givers in casual.

Well ofc it is situational and if you watch your spawn timer you can easilly make judgement where your opponent can or cannot be.

Same if you spot an enemy peeking repeatadly you prefire that spot. I had numerous kills like that.

It counts accuracy in general, and with all weapons/gadgets.
So if you play Rhino, you won’t get more than 10% accuracy that’s for sure, unless you always spam shots at the EV and then you will have like 90% accuracy.

This negatively affects your accuracy at the end screen because it’s not very accurate.
I mainly play Aimee, but I end up with 60% accuracy and like 15% headshot accuracy, but in reality my accuracy should be like 40% and headshots closer to 25-30%.

It’s that way because it also counts all my shots on downed enemies and deployables. Stationary targets are really easy to hit, but it also makes my headshot percentage look bad because you can’t headshot deployables, and why would you ever aim for headshots on downed enemies when 1 bodyshot is enough to finish them?

I may… actually… aim for headshots on downed bodies. Like, I still do it, for zero reason.
