I think you have answered your own question, again.
Quake Wars will be Linux native too right?
Blizzard did with WoW. (I’m not knocking SD, not even close, just saying that there are companies that do support Linux.)
And seeing as how I just got Ubuntu installed on my lonely windows PC I think I just may have to wait for the Linux version.
Ubuntu effin’ rocks.
Don’t get me started about Gentoo or Debian…
Distro flavours are personal, so please don’t start a “better than” raid now it still isn’t.

Don’t expect any company to officially support Linux for games. I can’t remember anyone doing that.
Atari/Epic actually do. just check out the Unreal Tournament series. Linux install is usually on the last disk. Graphics and sound are less then disireable but hey, it runs.
Unreal ran on Mandrake 9.2 and havent tried with RedHat Fedora yet. This is the only game that i know off hand that runs on linux/unix distros straight from developing companies.[/b]
Good news, people. A quote from linuxgames.com:
id Software’s annual fan convention, QuakeCon, is underway this weekend, and there’s already been a fair amount of Linux-related information conveyed. During the Enemy Territory: Quake Wars presentation Thursday evening, id’s Kevin Cloud and Splash Damage’s Paul Wedgewood mentioned that there will be a Linux client of the game (this was also reiterated by Cloud today during the id Q&A panel). Wedgewood demonstrated one of the game’s maps (I’ll have a more in-depth write-up later) with the help of other id-affiliated developers, where the human GDI had to destroy a Strogg contamination facility, with the same emphasis on varied subgoals that was featured in Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.
Speaking of today’s Q&A with id, the question of Linux ports from id’s engine licensees came up during the session. id CEO Todd Hollenshead stated that while id supports Linux because it makes sense for the company philosophically and technically, they can only provide licensees with the Linux source code and hope they have the time/money to use it. It was also noted that id maintains an OpenGL and Direct3D renderer for their unannounced internal project, and the OpenGL renderer exists to provide support for non-Windows/Xbox platforms (Tim Willits, id’s lead designer, also noted that their dev tools are OpenGL-only). Also, despite statements in the previous year about Xbox 360 becoming a primary dev platform for id, Kevin Cloud re-affirmed that id is first and foremost a PC game developer.
Finally, Linux ports of the ET:QW editing tools seem unlikely, as it was stated during a modding Q&A for the game that they’re MFC widget-based like previous id editors.
By the way: someone stated World of Warcraft has an official Linux version. I couldn’t find any confirmation.
I’ll probably buy UT2007 if there are enough high quality mods for it. I don’t intend to play the vanilla game.
There’s no linux version of WoW, even “unofficial”. It runs under Cedega though, with some minor limitations.
Official wine runes Wow client, too:

As to ET:QW+Linux, excellent news! I just hope it’ll come out simultaneously with the Windows version, it’d be a most horrible wait otherwise, with everyone already playing…
Awwww CRAP!
I was hoping to do maps for the new ET but not if there are no Linux tools.
LinuxGames did an interview with TTimo - the id software guy responsible for the Linux ports. There’re some interesting bits, for example he thinks that the Linux client will come out at the same time as the retail release. Also he talks about the source code version management tools used by SD and id, and much more. Check it out:
