gaymod suxs, pro gets boring after some rounds played and there are some others which i can not remind me but were only good for they advanced vsay’s. v868 anyone?

etpro in it’s default configuration is pretty much just etmain with a bunch bug fixes and convenience features. Not quite sure how that’s killing ET, or more boring than etmain.

Mods killed ET because each servers we were going to were fulled with crappy mod or bad settings such as double jumps, infinite energy and weapons stats modified. Beww just talking about it make me feel bad. Thats the only reason why I am not still playing it right now.

yeah, pro nuked the trash which main had and therefore was too polished for me. thats only gameplay wise, more in a matter of “how it feels”, anyway, hard to describe…

load etpro and while searching for servers select ETPRO ONLY. i know gaymod suxxs but etpro saves ET(without it the game will be empty). plus the etpro antilag it so good, i had to visit a gaymod serv yesterday and i shot in the head all the time but i only got a few body shots, now that sukked

I seriously dont think its the mods that killed anything, its the people that mess around with the bad settings. Mods were altered by the people that run the servers and they are the ones that messed everything up.

So blaming something that has no personailty and no thought’s, I have to say is pointless and dumbfounding. Well, after your done yelling and hating the mods, you can come here and yell at the soda machine down the street from me that sells crappy drinks. That should be right up your ally there.

So true. I find it especially funny when ignorant people assume XP-save is dictated by a mod. Nope --> XP-save is made possible but not mandatory. For the most part, the top mods have enough configuration options to make the mod behave anywhere in the spectrum from identical to stock ET all the way up to all mod features.

Heh, it certainly wasn’t the intention. Ryan Mannion named his mod after his handle, and when I started the mod my goal was to replace Shrubmod for my own server, so I named it after my handle.

I have provided an extremely convenient means to identify people who have the mental capacity of immature 15 year olds though!

You know what I find hilarious about people who hate my mod in particular is the spectrum of people who talk a lot of shit. I get plenty from the hardcore vanilla etmain and to some degree hardcore etpro players about the mod being to noobish, especially with the sticking point about xp save. But I also get tons of complaints from the extreme other side about how I have shrubbot and xp save capability but the rest of my features are all etpro’ish. In the end, I try to make things fair, but like Mr.Mxyzptlk and corpse pointed out, it’s all up to the server admins to dictate how they want their servers to run.

back on topic. unless there’s a just me and my buddies rating, I don’t care.
An “M” rating would be nice for some because it means blood and gore for the afficianadoes, a “T” is good for sales. We’re all going to buy and play the game anyways

As I said this rating stuff isnt really ment for the users themsleves. I think its actualy ment for their parents :slight_smile:

Think about it, if you had kids who were 10 years old or younger, you would like to have some control over what kind of content your kids view when using television and pc. I mean QW is ok but if I had kids I certanly woudnt want them watching Texas chainsaw massacre no more then playing games like Silent Hill or Doom 3, I think thats what these rateings are for.

Basicly what Im trying to say is that this whole rateing issue should not realy concern the potential QW players.
