What to do when Q3map2 2.5.17 crashes at radiosity? Any clue?
I have winXPsp2 on E6750

Are you using any extra shader commands to boost radiosity of some shaders?

I think not. :S
there really is no error in q3map2 console. it simply crashes when it starts second or third iteration (depends if I compile with 3 or 8 iterations). Is mirror or camera (misc_portal_surface and misc_portal_camera) problematic?
The only “error” is a warning (Warning: Hit per surface style limit <4>). Could this be the problem? Also how can I solve hit per surface style limit?

ps: why nonlinear (also on one linear) spotlights become dlights ingame? (they flicker and they generate a q3map2_mymap.shader)

You are using styled lights which might be the problem. Style lights are not dlights, but they look like it, they modulate the lightmap using wave values (that’s why it generates a shader) to create a “dynamic-looking” light. It’s a bit of a hack so you have to be careful where you use them and there is a relatively large performace hit. Multiple style lights interacting with each other can break things which is probably why you are getting the warning.

Yes and thanks, but the thing is I don’t use styled lights. For some strange reason some (but not all) plane nonlinear spotlights become styled at compile. :S
What could be the reason, and how to solve it?

Maybe try to make your spotlights linear (uncheck non-linear)… from what I know nonlinear makes only sense for pointlights. Spotlights have an extra key for fading from what I remember.
