Can somebody check that the material comes through ok for this model please?

Model in .md3 format (click to download)

there’s no material with the model, it looks good though… but the poly count is very high,
4092 triangles.

(Bravo) #3

Yes, I was asked to do it within 5000, so nearly a 1000 under aint bad.

So, if I make the material downloadable, will it be able to be applied?

The texture (click)

Cough forgive the messiness of it lol

(zenith-ply) #4

It works. Wrapped up on it nicely. S’good model. Now afa the structure goes, was there any part that comes to mind that was most challenging in contructing the model?

(Bravo) #5

Not really mate, its just a bunch of cylinders, boxes and spheres, same as all models lol

Hard bit was texturing, which I aint used to doing, learned loads while doing this model

(Bravo) #6

btw I made an arty type render:

Yeah when you think about it, modeling is just a bunch of shapes glued together. :expressionless:

Well afa the texturing goes, it seems like you really got some good mileage out of that .jpg =D

I look forward to seeing future proj. Some peeps may hound you about greenish schemes on some german tanks though. Of course whatever works for the game/map concept goes in the end.

(Panzergrenadier) #8

I think no-one would complain if you put some brown on that, so it looks like camoflage.

(Bravo) #9

Yeah, I was thinking about changing the colour scheme but I’ll be honest, I couldnt be arsed lol

AFAIK the map is a foresty type affair that this is for, so green to go…

btw if anyone wants a lower poly version, just ask. It’ll be just a matter of taking all the wheels and axles out and then simply using a plain side, with the wheels textured back in
