Anyone using a PX5 headset by Turtle Beach to play this game on XBOX 360? I can’t seem to get separate volume for voice and game. Makes it almost impossible to hear when people are talking.
Thanks,
john

just a question how muxh do these super expensive fancy headsets cost
I think they were about $250. But I had a gift card so I didn’t pay full shot. I remember using them before with no problem. Right now I am firing up the PS3 to see if I have the same problem with it. Maybe the super duper expensive headset is fine and it’s the glorious XBOX that is screwing up.
I’ll know in a few minutes.
Went on my PS3 and the headsets are right on the money. Actually these things have incredible sound fidelity. Some settings are even designed to help you hear footsteps and reloads, I guess based on the frequency of the sound. IN any case - PS3 sounds great, and work with built in Bluetooth. Xbox, just doesn’t separate the chat from game volume well enough and that with a cable between the headset and the hand controller. Xbox has a blue tooth adaptor, maybe I’ll try picking it up. Can’t really use it the way it is now, at least not if I want to talk with my teammates. Maybe I’ll try turning the game sound down in the game itself and see if that helps.
By the way, hooked up with some folks from the forums this evening. Made on-line much better, but I seemed to go downhill as the night went on.

Thanks for the feedback. The main problem I had was hearing you guys. For whatever reason Xbox just didn’t create good separation between chat volume and game volume on mind end. So the game basically drowned out the voices of my teammates.
Go to options. Change Voice Commands so that they play through your TV not your headset. Now use your headset as you normally would. Basically, Brink is set to give Squad Commands through your headset. You just have to turn this feature to the TV. Let me know how this works!
Actually,
I have it set to both “Speakers and HEadset”, which are the options. I tried a new puck today to see if the cable is bad that connects the hand controller to the headset. When I get on today, I’ll see if it works. I went out to MW2 to see if it had something to do with the game, but dtill wasn’t working well. The new puck seems to have helped, I think. BUt you just become an annoyance when you keeping asking people to speak during a game while you test different settings on your equipment.
Thanks for the input,
john
Believe I have it fixed now. I think the cable was bad. Seemed to work OK this morning using a different cable/puck.
