nice rex!
ty for also pushing in here
Had put a small manifesto on the open foruns (link bellow) about going pro in Dirty Bomb. This was posted in open foruns since most future players will be there:

Some can diverge from my opinion, but i believe i did nothing wrong.
Btw, everyone here what this to became something to be seen, by the best eyes world can have…

Your post on the main forum makes no sense at all.
Cybergamer in aus are on the ball for it. I dare say once it hits open beta we’ll host at tournament for it to rack up more interest in Aus and then ladders afterwards
Ahhh… since you is open to talk about that in this topic, why dont you add another post here explaining what you know about me?
Not sure pushing a game that’s still in Alpha is the right thing to do, surely it’d be better to build up a head of steam when it’s actually available for the masses to play, or at least when it’s known when that date will be.
I am a fan of ESL though, so a push from me

ye its very early for that, BUT!
i dont think that we have a sponsor for the game, who will pay money that the esl makes cups for it, like it was in brink…
the community itself has to send a signal, we have to let them know that the game is even in alpha a good game, ofcourse we have a long way infront of us to a nice game which u can really play in a good competitve way but if the esl is noticing the thread and there are already a few posts in, we maybe could have closed / open beta cups or anything like that!
--------------------------EDIT---------------------------------
great work guys!!!
somebody from the ESL noticed the thread!
check it out!
I’ve always been more interested in games that are fun to play and have favorable mechanics(balance/pace/high skill curve/etc) competitively rather than games that have prizes/sponsored tournaments. That might just be me coming to the conclusion that only .000001% of fps gamers actually get compensated enough monetarily for the time they put in. Community cups and non-prize leagues however are always gonna be there!
yes ofcourse, the prizes arent the main spec for me, its the competitive way to play the game what i like
but if we could have a great community with a good league activity, for example with prizes, thats something what keeps a game alive in competition…
it brings big teams to the game, and is also nice for SD if they would have a game which is played a lot in leagues where u also can win prizes
but sure. prizes arent the main thing for me…
It all comes down to popularity in the end. And popularity in a fresh title completely relies on the quality of production firstly, followed by the ability to produce non-repetitive game play. DB is f2p so that’s a great start already.
absolutely!!
f2p is perfect, i just see one problem, or two…
first: pay2win, i hope SD wont ruin the game with it, its not SD’s way to develop pay2win games, so i hope the stuff u can buy then are just skins or retarded hats like in team frotress
second: open beta / open access for many ppl.
i think here its good that we have the 120$ thing… not many ppl will pay this i think…
the problem is in my opinion, that the game has to be NEARLY finished before everybody can test/ play it…
otherwise we would have a big problem, ppl who want to test the game, got owned by a soldier who is backraping em 3 - 4 times and then get killed through a wall or get knifed (atm its just crazy - lets see what the patch will change) will loose the fun after a few minutes and will never try the game again… thats the typical casual gamer for me…
i hope SD could manage it, that they open the doors to the others in a very very late stadium of developing, when its nearly done
i realy dont care about comp atm. ofcause i like to see a game i like for a long time in competition but it dosnt work without a big oublic scene.
i think betastage is early enough to get peops from esl and other companies into this. First of all we have to share our thoughts of comp-gameplay and it needs into this.

Nice to see!
Keep on pushing guys!
I guess it’s too early to suggest DB? But some games are on ESL without replay/demo feature
