Purposed buff to the Felix

So with the change coming to instagib in the Containment War Update there have been some mix reactions. It seems either people look forward to the change or main Vassili (I’m joking). Coupled with people asking for a buff for the Felix (the rifle that’s neither the click spam PDP nor the head hunting MoA, it’s real, I’ve seen it) I think this might be a good opportunity to finally buff the Felix.

The change is fairly simple (at least on paper, might be more complicated in code) and that’s to buff the Felix’s headshot damage to 200. This should allow it to do two things. The first, and most apparently ability, it can one shot Rhino (even if he is standing on a healing station with twenty small health packs around him). The second, and this is only speculation, it would allow the rifle to instagib all light mercs up to Vassili himself (I suspect downed HP to be 100 and with the bleed over damage mechanic they’re adding 200 damage should be enough to down and gib light mercs).

This idea probably isn’t as good as I think it is. I’m sure there are some blatant flaws. But could be a start cause we all know the damn Felix needs a buff.

I think the Fel-Ix should be able to instagib on headshots and the MOA shouldn’t. (Actually I don’t mind the MOA Insta-gibb but apparently I’m alone)

A choice between high damage, low mag capacity, low fire rate and a gib.

Or a higher fire rate, more ammo, but a second shot for the gib.

Given those two choices you really have a decent option. Then we have the PDP…meh.

The PDP’s low damage and low ammo isn’t compensated by it’s RPM. I rather have a Driess AR with a telescopic sight, at least it as a good magazine size and good RPM.

Its just kind of there. There isn’t really any reason to use it over the bolt guns.

Ive never actually used the Grandeur, so I cant comment there. Ive read mixed reviews about it.

The PDP is easier to use but the Grandeur has better stopping power. The Grandeur is also capable of being fired from the hip which makes it ALMOST a nice inbetween the Driess and PDP, however, it suffers from a poor sight. It bad enough that people either use console command to prevent iron sighting (it merely zooms instead) or use the Mumble overlay so it has a proper cross hair.
