@borg & ailmanki - These are on the list of all possible and impossible solutions I’ve tried. I also tried Stealth6’s command. As much as I have figured out PB does not like something in my system (probably a driver). Kill it all or manually closing all programs (PB’s FAQ solution) doesn’t work either, so it probably is some driver. But I’ve tried atleast 5 different versions of older to new drivers. Formating my pc might work, but I don’t bother because I don’t really need to use PB that much.

But anyone do not have a list of command to a punkbuster to the least possible scan? to optimize the maximum for that created the least possible lag?

I have seen several different config on forums about configurations punkbuster, but what is good?

Yes I already know this website, but it is not easy to make a good punkbuster config when i know nothing for PB :slight_smile:

yes, afaik those are the only client side tweaks that might help.

Ask PC specs of your players. From what I know PB uses 25% CPU usage on avg and ET.exe uses 50% cpu usage.

IDE hard drive does make people lag. Ask them if they can play COD4 or BC2 and 80% lagers will say no.

My specs:

CPU: intel core i7
Connection: 18mb down / 3mb up
PB lag: yes

I will be one of the 20% then.:rolleyes:

specs:
core i7 2.66gHz

connection 20mbit down 2mbit up, but on a wireless which messes up alot since I got windows 7 :frowning: any my connection is o average there 24mbps

I have no lag from PB, also on cpu usage, ET uses max 20% and that’s really max max, normally something like 7% and pb uses less, like 1-3%

You get red spikes or FPS lag ? or like FPS drops?

I personally get red spikes on random basis but I think it’s because of my router since my router fragments each packets and I had to tweak it later.

Try \showdrop 1 in console and see if you have packet loss.
