Pulling a sicky on release day

As we now know the release date for Brink, just out of interest. How many of you can see yourself having a sick day off work or school on the Brink release day? I’m sure I normally get the flu around the end of May :slight_smile:

I’ve learnt my lesson with taking days off and expecting games to be unlocked on Steam.

I’m strongly considering taking a personal day, but with three kids at home, I probably wouldn’t play much. Still, I would be able to pick up the game earlier and maybe get a half-hour in during their nap time…

Shhhhhhh guys! There is an investigation by Bosses United that are posting threads like this on game forums to predict which of their employees are taking actual sick days and which ones are taking them on game release days! Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…

Friday is just a much better day for releases. I’d like to find the person who picked Tuesday over here, near impossible to work a release into a long weekend.

Damnitalltohell. Stupid Australia being on the stupid eastern side of the stupid timezone meridian. That’s the 21st for us.

I agree with SockDog - Steam unlocks are hit and miss sometimes. I haven’t been screwed over too badly before - only delays of 3 hours etc.

I might have to work from home that day :slight_smile:
