I agree that dirty bomb will achieve a lot more with a more dynamic private/public match, server creation, and more game modes.(custom game modes too) team death match, death match. as a server host, you can edit things like, Merc choice, ability usage and timer, weapon, knife choice, an empty map would be cool too, you can create waypoints and your own objectives/tasks for both teams.(place down things like turrets, ammo).
(no xp or money will be given in these public servers)
Public run Custom server/gamemodes/maps

@dox is prolly just frustrated (I know I am) the game and its devs are not on good terms with a lot of the community and people who have been playing for awhile
actually, a lot of the “community” is just sick of the bitching and moaning going on from the vocal minority of entitled little twerps here and on reddit, but that’s just my opinion

Wtf, calm down. You didn’t ask a single question in your OP you just jotted down a bunch of random points with no structure. I genuinely had no idea what the point of the thread was.
But if your intention was a discussion then it’s going to depend imo. Community servers can be great, but if we start seeing 50 different game modes with different rule sets / different guns being allowed / different movement physics and all that crap, then I expect the game to die even faster. As long as there is a general meta between all the servers then I think it will be fine.
It really just depends how it is done. I for one stopped playing Quake Live all together when they moved to community based servers because the game lost all its structure. All of a sudden there was different hosts, different pings, different physics and different rulesets between every damn server, and it was just annoying. The game lost its feel for me. I like structure so when things get too gimmicky, it bothers me.
The devs have already said they don’t want to do community servers at all. So I doubt this will ever happen. I more than anything don’t want to even think of playing on community maps where the hosts have control over what mercs/weapons/objectives are active. All I see are a bunch of Vasaline only or Proxbitch only servers. Heaven help us all if that happens.
They do plan putting community servers in a quite far term, referring to their last opinion on that.
To avoid special rules /games modes servers flooding the game, they can just disable the xp/credit tracking if you have fiddled with specific parameters. That’s quite easy to do.
The only things that should be allowed if you want to remain in the “official” rules are just the map rotation, and server tunings like tickrate and such.

I state my opinion and get 4 flags for abuse
children
we flag it because you know barely anything about how dirty bomb works and how the mercs work. private would only make stat padding your levels and case grinding hell of easy and other game mods and modes wont help from outside the devs because you have to balance every class to make a map work… overwatch has hundreds of devs behind it. this doesnt
How can you know how much @Nail knows? And why do you assume you know more about the game than someone who is here since the closed Alpha/Beta?
And flagging him for not knowing how the game or the mercs work isn’t right. You probably should read the rules about flags, since you’re obviously new here. Otherwise you would know it better and not flagging him. He wasn’t abusive towards anyone directly. http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/240/forum-faq-rules/p1
@Eox @Ardez @Amerika Can you please end this flag abuse?
