[PS3] The Cursed DLC 14% Club, You In It?

(Oz70NYC) #21

I’m now wholly convinced that the Brink franchise is just plain cursed. Buggy initial release, problems for months without a patch fix, and now following the patch fix DLC that causes errors and won’t even install. Unbe-frakkin-lievable…

(Hk_Obayda) #22

I’m not having very much fun in this club…

(RabidAnubis) #23

Try putting the disk in and downloading it then.

Also, I have AT&T.

I am now trying to help in the troubleshooting.

We are like the Bad News Bears… Or the guys that have to eat at Super Weenie Hut Jr’s and not the Salty Spitoon.

@RabidAnubis - No need to apoligize or anything just dont been doin that kind of stuff and try to keep it chill, we are all hyped (as you clearly are) for the DLC no question but some are having a tough time right now. Just try keep it constructive if you comment and arent having any problems.

(RabidAnubis) #25

Did you try putting the disk in?

What is your guys internet service?

(Hk_Obayda) #26

[QUOTE=RabidAnubis;363645]Did you try putting the disk in?

Disk has been in. And my isp is Verizon… I mean i got the whole network behind me… this should be working.

(RabidAnubis) #27

Okay. Is that the problem?

Oshino, do you have Verizon also?

(Shinigami) #28

I understand making the problem known and listing as much detail on it as possible, but i don’t see the need to make a list of players who are unable to download the game >_>
SD is aware of the problem and I’m sure they are on it. Specially considering its free for only 2 weeks. its not like they are gonna say “hey, we will wait until enough people can’t download and then we will try to fix it”

(Oschino1907) #29

I may not have a whole network following me every where but I have Xfinity so techinally there is nothing faster in the entire universe at this point of human advancement. But yeah not my internet, I even have a router that can handle way more then the speeds I am getting.

(Hk_Obayda) #30

Oh well, I’m gunna go drowned in some Guinness. I’ll check back later. goodluck folks

(RabidAnubis) #31

Okay. Does anyone have Xfinity or Verizon who CAN download it?

(QUIK420) #32

This is NOT a problem downloading the DLC and is therefore not a problem with ISPs or the PSN. The already downloaded DLC stops at 14% of installation then gives an error. This occurs even after deleting and re-downloading both e DLC and the game data.

Yeah but if they needed more info they would know who to contact to get more details. From what everyone has found online there is no clear answer to the error and there have been no confirmed fixes for it in other instances. Just want to be sure in the clutter of the thread its clear who is and is not having the problem.

(Shinigami) #34

Yes, i downloaded it with Xfinity. Aside from that, all i can say is that my ps3 is the slim one, and the disc wasn’t in when i Dl/installed it. I don’t really see anything else that might make a difference aside from console model.

(RabidAnubis) #35

Okay. If it also installed on the slim, maybe it only works on it?

(QUIK420) #36

Downloaded on slim and “error error will Robinson” Im suffering from Brink withdrawal noooooo:eek:

(RabidAnubis) #37

If the disk wasn’t in, then I have NO clue what happened.

(Shinigami) #38

Gstaff made a post at the bethesda blog. He said that the error means that there is a lot of traffic in pen and that you should all try later. hope that help

Then that means I was simply lucky.

And I find it hilarious that people were complaining about the release schedule. this is why PS3 got it a little early.

And maybe this is a good thing. This says people are there enough to cause a difference in the dling, which means more players!

So this is bittersweet.
