PS3 Competitive Competition Support

hi all, i was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of the support for competitive gaming support in the form of clan tournaments, cups, and ladders for consoles. The info can be derived from previous console games that Bethesda/Splash Damage has made, for consoles only. I know that PC will have competitions, and i was just wondering about PS3 ones. If they do have competitions, what will they be and how are they conducted? I’ve never been in one before.

All that stuff is usually set up by communities themselves are they not?

Isn’t the only “competitive support” you need being able to make a private match and change settings etc - which I think I remember was being included (although this was ages ago - back when rahdo wasnt being kept in a cage)

An integrated ladder like Starcraft 2 would be bloody amazing.

Which is great and I think an in-game ladder would only help to keep that competitive spirit going by lowering the bar to enter.
