PS3 Big Teams Only Lobby/Chat Now Open

(Oschino1907) #1

Add me or hit up someone already there for an invite, it will be a 24/7 lobby/chat for anyone on PS3 looking to play Big Teams with other people and make new friends. All are welcome so long as your a team player and want to win, Mics are always a big plus!

Or just add the chat to your other chats for anytime youre looking for a Big Teams match. Its all I and many of my Brink friends play.

STOPWATCH will be a common game played when number of players allow it!!!

I think it is pathetic that we are reduced to having to create chat rooms and try and organize matches ourself just to get into a full room and have a decent match. The devs need to do something about the matchmaking system ASAP it is completely flawed. It it always creating rooms with only 1-2 people in them instead of putting everyone together for a full room or putting you in rooms where it is 5v1 I don’t see how that is auto balanced do you?

This is exactly the reason why a lobby system is needed. Also this would allow players to change attachments, use newly aquired skill points ect between matches without having to leave there friends. It would also solve the issue of matches starting before the room is full or teams being unbalanced.

Check out the “PS3 Users…Brink Friends” thread and you will understand why i am doing this. Plus not many realize that when you are in a chat you can invite the whole room from in the game so while it is techincally a “work around” its really not that bad at all if you understand my reasons for even wanting to do this.

Yeah, it is a shame. It’s always annoying when developers work under the assumption that all modes will be brimming at all times. That’s fine if it’s true, but it makes it hard work as soon as the numbers dwindle, and it adds acceleration to the demise of the community as those left find it harder and harder to get a game.

I wonder if Brink sticks rigidly to your match preferences? That seems like a huge problem to me. There are what? 4 game modes? Multiplied by 2 for objective/stopwatch? Then any other options you can choose… And “my rank/my rank or higher” probably doesn’t help either.

I know variety is the spice of life and all that, but I think less would lead to more in this case… I would personally remove the objective option and default to stopwatch (theoretical as I’ve never successfully played it, but it sounds like the better way to play). Then just have one auto-mode: probably big teams with no bots, and no rank filtering.

Then if you want all the other options (friendly fire, bots, small teams, etc) create a custom game.

What we really need though is a server browser. Human filtering is way better than any match making. It would also be nice if the game asked me before just making an empty room. I don’t want to sit and wait for the map to load to find I’m the only player, then have to quit and try my luck in a different game mode.

For an online centric game, it’s severely lacking in the out-of-game features. I wish developers in general would realise: matchmaking is crap. Server lists FTW. AvP was plagued with matchmaking problems and ranked games were nigh on impossible to get into, but you can still get non-ranked games today. Why? because it has server lists.

You can have the best game in the world - but if it’s an uphill struggle to get to the good stuff, humans are inherently lazy, and we just won’t be arsed.

Oh - OP. Is your PSN the same as your forum login?

I wished more people played stopwatch, def the better of the two modes but not enough people to keep full matches going as its usually all friends there and rarely randoms joining.

In fact, EVERYONE THAT JOINS THE LOBBY/CHAT EXPECT TO PLAY STOPWATCH (if i am starting the game) WHEN WE HAVE 75% FULL TEAMS!!!
