PS3 any hope in getting onto a server full of real players?

Hi

Long term Splash Damage fan here, so I’ll try not to sound like i’m whining.

A couple of questions for PS3 users:

[ul]
[li]Why are the graphics taking so long to load eg. textures and detail taking around 3 seconds to become un pixelated when you look at a wall for example and other avatars looking un detailed?
[/li]
[li]Will I ever be able to join a server full of real players on both sides instead of the best currently possible which seems to be one side full of real players versus the opposing team full of bots? Or can the fact that we don’t have dedicated servers mean that there would be too much lag to have a full server of real players? I current have my server search setting on standard and on ‘my rank or higher’ (i’m level 20). Can I improve the chance of getting on a full server (real players) by doing anything else?
[/li][/ul]

Thanks.

I play on the 360 but try Freeplay - Competitive game mode, its only 5 vs 5 but there are no bots. It usually fills up pretty quickly.

OK, thanks for the suggestion, I shall try this setting when I get home

Because it doesn’t install to hard disk unfortunately. Maybe the textures are compressed on disk as well adding further overhead - although they shouldn’t (need to) be given the space on a BluRay.

It sounds like you are joining co-operative campaign missions…? As suggested, try freeplay, your rank or higher and either competitive or big teams.

Also, add anyone decent you find. I’m building up a load of friends that play Brink and full games of humans are not uncommon. There was a thread around here about that, but I can’t find it.

Yes I have been using freeplay with my rank or higher but on standard server settings, I’ll try competitive tonight.

I wonder why SD made it so the game wasn’t installable onto The hard drive, I wonder if they can change this with a patch?

Yes, i added my name to the thread asking for UK and EU PS3 players, but it was shortlived it seems.

As you’re in the UK, check out this EU community event that’s happening on Wednesday. It’s a good opportunity to add some players. I don’t know if you’re a member on the EU Sony forum, but you just need your PSN details to login…
