Proxy or Nader?

So im gonna be at 50k soon :smiley: And i dont know what to buy and which one is better. Proxy with SMG or Nader? And there is a thirth option i wait for new mercs to be released. What should i buy/do? :smiley:

Nader is likely for free in the next rotation so Iā€™d wait and try the merc out before buying.

Proxy is a great merc, and will remain useful as more mercs are released; but maybe you will like what is coming next?

tl;dr wait for the next merc & new free rotation

@Szakalot so should i buy Proxy then? I do like Nader i played with her alotā€¦but now she can be different. I am waiting for a new merc, but he is a medic so he can come into the game like in a month or two :stuck_out_tongue:

He means the merc he waits for is a medic (so I guess Pheonix, the more popular choice than sparks).

I think you should get the merc you find the most fun which for me is nader. I also enjoy proxy though, especially shotgun proxy and if you donā€™t already have bushwhacker then proxy might be a stronger choice as itā€™s always good to have the option of swapping to an engineer if your team is lacking in that department.

yeah Pheonix :smiley: but i think he wont come any time soon :stuck_out_tongue: i liked Nader before steamā€¦now i dont know how good is she. And i need a fast merc :smiley: and new mercs will probably cost alot :slight_smile:

Nader before steam? Youā€™ll have to specify - do you remember how many nades Nader had?

  • Before ā€˜darwinianā€™ update - lots of nades (6), short fuse, medium damage
  • darwinian update (since november) - 5 nades, short fuse, high damage
  • now - 4 nades, long fuse, high damage.

Nader is definitely still extremely good, but not quite as powerful as in November-January. If you played her and liked her before the darwinian update - she only got better.

Little harder to play though, as you really have to score those direct hits if using grenade launcher in direct combat, or have good enough know how to be able to effectively spam AoE from cover.

If you feel competitive and like to complete objectives and set up tramps, Iā€™d say go for Proxy.
In the other side, if you want to make lots of friends with the nade launcher, provide combat assist, clear the path for your team and funny taunts, then go for Nader.
