Proxy needs to be deleted!

Now before you read on this is mostly just a joke…nothing about how her mines are op or shotguns are annoying.

More and more I’m just seeings these completely newbs who watch Proxy players who actually know how to hop and mine and all of that…but more and more just seeing servers overrun with scrub Proxy just completely failing at being able to play the skillset…they think bunnyhopping makes them immortal and it doesn’t…and they just get mowed down.

I just had a fun quick little game and went 52/9 as Rhino was getting multiple aces only reason I died so much was those little buggers swarming me from multiple angles with their shotgun spam…just watching these Proxy doing the same futile maneuver over and over and over again. I’ve been noticing this a lot recently…

Half of their team was playing Proxy…the truest definition of Pub Scrub…just makes me kind of sad just to mow these newbs down or to watch my teammates just get ripped apart because what they think is godmode play that they don’t know how to do actually works…and what…it must of been a fluke that they got killed? Then what about the second time…the fifth time…the tenth time? All flukes?

So I propose we just delete Proxy! Thanks for your time!

And no…I’m mostly joking…just sad to see so many newbs doing this on both sides of the board…they keep getting slayed and they just might not stay with the game :frowning:

I personally use Proxy as “Suicide Objective Merc”… So from the outside… It always looks like I’m Scrubbing though I’m pretty handy with the Hochfir… and I love dropping mines near the enemy Vassilli HB sensor range… So that when enemies come to check who tripped the sensor… BOOM!

P.S.: I can’t Bunnyhop to save my life. :blush:

Proxy is the most annoying merc, other than maybe behind Fletcher. Her mines are just stupid.

It’s just one of those things. Yeah tonnes of noobs just rush and throw mines with her, but in all honesty tonnes of noobs do the same kinda repeated rushes with every class haha. Some people never learn, others learn quickly.

I’m not really sure why so many players just rush the objective without shooting people first though. Even some level 50-100 players do it. Rush, rush, rush, die, die, die, never learning. Shoot first, clear some space and kill some enemies, then repair safely. It isn’t hard haha.

i admit i was playing proxy after i get my 2nd 30K from buying arty.
i do Arty-proxy-aura while i was still level 5 and rekt a whole team of level 15-20

i might not know how to aim ( i used to play strategy games in general so my reflex is pretty bad) in dirty bomb back then, but i know how to use mercs abilities since i watch guide videos and tinker with it so much

maybe just let them play proxy until they get bored and finally start to appreciate how cool is skyhammer.

I play suicide proxy a lot too tbh. Sometimes if enemies are really fortified and my team isn’t making progress, it’s better to repair the EV and push back the front lines than it is to try to kill a pile of enemies and several good medics, even if it means dying a lot

I feel like it might be a good idea to change Proxy’s default from shotguns to the hochfir though. That way you can kind of remove the mindset among new players that proxy is just a bouncy shotgun merc

I’m asking for this since I play the game. Nothing changed.
She’s annyoing in masses played ny noobs. She’s annoying as hell when played by someone who can play her. She’s annoying in my team when I need Objective EXP.

And I will throw the Overwatch argument in. Even Blizzard realized that a merc limit is a must have. Quickplay has one now and I saw many comments how this is a good thing. No more Bastion spam FTW.

I’m pretty sure that’s his point about Proxy, not everyone is annoyed with her or should be if they aren’t with other mercs.

The best way to delete proxy is to shoot the mine at her feet when she’s planting C4.

If there is a fire fight raging on the way to a bomb planting spot, I sometimes choose to just run as Proxy. As firing at the enemy will alert them to my presence.

I’m gambling that they were too busy fighting my teammates and hope that by the time they notice I’ve planted it’s too late. Bonus if I’m able to plant a mine on the bomb I planted and then run to another part of the map.

I am annoyed by mercs played in masses by noobs. I am annoyed by getting killed by a skillful player over and over, no matter what the merc in question is. Proxy isn’t the problem, the person playing her is. Vassili is just a sniper, but when playing against @Herr_Hanz (among others :wink: ) he becomes super annoying.

I hope I have made myself clear.
