Proxy doesn't NEED a nerf, but here's an idea for one anyway...

I generally disagree, as I believe her to be average in a 1v1. She’s definitely not the best, but she’s not awful.

that video is exactly why i want it to stay, activating a mine around corners is super usefull to destroy them without putting yourself in harms way, and without having to back up and try to find an angle to shoot the mine without it hurting you in the following explosion.

They are “proximity mines” not land mines. You shouldn’t have to step on them to make them detonate. If they truly are proximity based, they should be able to pick up some stimuli even through walls that are completely solid.

This will make her useless.

Blast Radius: Just keep it as it is. Simply removing Lock On from mines will be good

Cooldown: idk. What’s even the cooldown right now? 20 seconds?

Bhop nerf: agreed. But I was thinking more about a limit to jumps.
In csgo if you crouch too much, your crouching becomes very slow and in the end pressing the crouch key will just make you stand still. Something similar but with jumping (where your jumping height and speed is decreased) seems better to me, but of course trickjumps and everything need to stay so it will require a lot of planning and thinking

Unarmed mines being simply removed by shots won’t be too bad but would still suck. Just making unarmed/EMP’d mines deal less damage OR have a smaller blast radius will be enough

Agree with everything else (especially the lockon part :P), but if you were to do this with proxy, you’d have to do it with every other merc or I don’t think it’d flow right. I don’t think this could ever work, unfortunately. I think just increasing the spread due to vertical velocity ought to be sufficient.

her mines instakill squishy mercs and stops or slows enemy momentum.
can be used to protect objective.

using proxy like fragger is a massive mistake and not efficient.

But considering that Proxy is the only counter to Phantom and Phantom was such a good combat class, it’s bad design considering the loadout system in place.

Phantom didn’t have EMP in the version I was talking about! You know back when the guy was actually put in the game? Where he could tank a bloody FEL-IX headshot or a skyhammer airstrike?!

  2. You’re on the internet. Dictionary the latter two. The previous one you could just guess.

Suggesting Proxy was a counter to OPhantom of the OPera is a pretty good laugh, though. I could start licking my mouse after I spotted and started closing on a Proxy, whether or not there was an armed mine between us (two is what’d stop you), and look up five seconds later to sometimes see I got two kills instead of just the Proxy.
