We’ve all been there, having just been shredded by a load of incoming fire, you see a Phoenix stroll round the corner seemingly oblivious. You call out “Medic!”, but to no avail, they don’t seem interested in giving you a heal. Your finger is ready over the voice chat button ready to blast them for being a noob, for being ignorant, for not showing compassion for another player, being so selfish and single-minded, only caring about frags with no interest in what’s happening around them…
Then you feel that refreshing pulse wash over you. Turns out the ability was recharging. Shame you already blew up at them over voice chat, huh?
I think it would be very helpful if, when you request a medic, you would be able to see the cooldown above the heads of friendly medics. Phoenix in particular has, what, 14 seconds of cooldown, which is plenty of time for people to get mad, Aura as well has a long cooldown. That, or can we have friendly fire turned on, then have ET-style revives? Though I’m not convinced the current generation of gamers can appreciate being TK’d just to be revived at higher health without screaming like children.
Apologies if this has been raised before, seems like an obvious enough one, but had a look and couldn’t see anything.
