I’ve just added some props_flamethrowers to my map and found they don’t set the player alight!
Any ideas - I suppose I can use a trigger_hurt, but what about burning the player model?

they should be targeted at an info_null (or ‘info_notnull’, read the entity inspector comments) as the angle keys don’t seem to work properly and have some odd side effects one of which may be what you’re now getting, also make sure any brush work surrounding the entity is ‘detail flagged’ and not ‘structural’ (incase you’ve buried the effects in the floor or something…!

I also wouldn’t be at all surprised if this worked in SP but not MP.
ah yes… I’ve got them working ok in SP not MP… thnx for pointing that out SCDS
Hi,
Yeah, had this confirmed by Cacabunny - they are only partially enabled in MP - yet again - thanks for nothing Nerve!

You cant really blame Nerve for not copying some source from SP after the split, since they were never likely to use them.
The trouble is, the mapping/modding community is what keep’s games like RtCW current.
Look at QuakeArena, if it wasn’t for maps/mods, that game would be dead in the water after about 6 months.
I suppose it’s not Nerve’s fault, but maybe someone in ID ought to ensure that their “sub contractors” look after the community, because that’s who looks after them.
