Hey felas,
RTCW had a props_flamebarrel entity. When ET loads a map w/ this entity compiled into the bsp; The object itself is missing from the map, but I can stand on it and shoot where its supposed to be and it explodes (Lots of smoke, barrel chards go flying, etc…).
I copied the props_flamebarrel entity info from the wolf.def file and pasted it into a flamebarrel.def file for ET radiant. So at least the entity is easier to work with from within radiant.
Anybody know what is needed to make this object actually show up in a map?
I made a func_explosive brushwork barrel and placed the props_flamebarrel entity inside it. Its better than nothing, but its a funky solution, and I was hopping that maybe somebody has a more gracefull solution.
Maybe somebody could shed some light on where this entity went? I know alot of things got chopped out of the ET.def file, and some things even by accident (Team_wolf_Checkpoint). ET obviously has some knowledge of what this entity is. Any clues on how to fully implement it? Am I missing a .md3 somewhere?
Thanks in advance,
-Horus
Oh and those gunsparks are the same ones that are used when you shoot at something. The tiny sparks when the bullet hits? That’s the gunsparks at work
(for those not knowing)
