Proof of concept for weapons mods/Servermods for a new gamemode. (Using The Console)

Spawning weapons

Using a Few console commands, you can create spawn in weapons:

switchlevel EXE_Overground

Overground seems to work best for some reason.

set SGPawn PrimaryWeapons (A_Molotov_01)

This spawns in stoker’s Molotov in your primary slot.

Now, the weapon names and stuff are here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dirty Bomb\ShooterGame\CookedPC\Weapons

There’s also some junk here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dirty Bomb\ShooterGame\CookedPC\Items

Adding weapons to your server

So, As I said earlier, you can find the weapon files in that folder.
Since we can find the files, we can copy/paste them for more weapons! You can’t edit the originals because that would be way to easy hack and everyone knows nothing is eay
You can try this by just copying the cricket bat like I did in the video. (Video coming soon.)

You also have to rename the packages or unreal will fart out an error saying something about identical package names

I used a silly name because why not?

Then I use the command

set SGPawn PrimaryWeapons (A_XxCricketBatOfDeathxX_1337)

This spawns in a weapon that looks rather like the cricket bat. Exactly like it, actually I’m thinking that you might only be able to get away with Reskins right now.

Below is the error that occurs if you rightclick, left works fine.

Also, the existence of these commands means you could possibly have csgo style gameplay but with classes

Example:

XxDarkHunterMaster23xX has joined game
XxDarkMasterHunter23xX: I’m so pro I’m not hax just pro deal wih it
Avionix killed XxDarkMasterHunter23xX with SnierRifle_01 for 150 points
Avionix: Lelrekt.
Avionix: /buy p GrenadeLauncher_01
Avionix bought Grenade Launcher for 450 points.
/buy s MachinePistol_01
Avionix bought MP for 150 points.

Again, to be continued.

There are some videos on YouTube too about it, like tutorials. I really wish that throwing knifes could return to Vassili though.

(noupperlobeman) #3

set SGPawn PrimaryWeapons (A_Molotov_01)

Didn’t work for me

(noupperlobeman) #4

Nevermind, figured it out.

I wonder if it’s intended for naders grenades to put out
molotov fire?

Interesting find, @missmurderer it’s a bug.

Also, we need custom servers nao!!

(Gi.Am) #6

Could also be a feature Redeyes smoke can be countered with nades aswell.

(Nail) #7

explosions dissipate smoke and fire

(wittyChicken) #8

Actually explosions can be used to put out a fire It will get rid of the oxygen and thus the flame goes out. Fight fire with fire.
Doesn’t work in this scale though.
That depends on the magnitude of the blast. There is a reason why they smother lit oil-wells the way they do…

Either way, I like the concept of clearing obstacles with the bombom-tools we have at hand.
