what are these promotions i keep getting every so often. said i just got promoted to officer. do they do anything or just for fun and are they the reason i cant do certain things like change my sig

I think it’s like Steam account levels. You get them for doing certain things, usually in the community.

They are ranks you get for gaining a certain amount of rep points on the forum.

You will be able to add a signature at 1000 rep points.

ok maybe more like a half hour/hour it was under ground i had like 2nd higest score but the worst k/d in history lol
