I love this game… it employs a keen balance of team play. When your team is on top of their game, you know it. When you team is a fresh boat load of newbie idiots that think it’s Quake 3, you know it. The good maps are in stages and offer a realistic approach to objectives that can be met or failed dependant on the team play. Some of the new maps I’ve played completely lack this. For example, the counterstrike covered maps with dual-team objectives are terrible because it requires a team to be both offensive and defensive at the same time. The majority of the maps that came with the game offer one team to be static defensive and one team to be static offensive, which is excellent. Are their any maps where the defensive side is provided with an overbearing advantage over the offensive like say trenches, murderholes of mg42s, sniper nests, and bunkers while the offensive has very little cover or concealment and has to rely off of cover, suppressant, and diversion fire? You have to remember, in the real world, primitive fortification such as towers and walls against artillery and air suppport do not last long, however in this game, they provide superior defense, returning defensive measures to the middle ages while keeping the offensive to WW2 standards.
Problems with new team player maps...
I quite agree with this analyse.
However i think it’s possible via script, and i hope all mappers will do it, to have guard towers, MG nests destroyable by air strikes and grenades (not just one, say 2 or 3 Airstrikes and 5 grenades just as the truck).
For example, in Fuel dump this is nearly impossible to get the MG out even with a sniper and Air strikes do nothing to the soldier(s) inside.
When you play against a good axis team, you even end with 2 or 3 guys inside, one on the MG and 1 or 2 snipers, which are really tough to take out… :disgust:
Ummm never heard of using the panzerfaust !?! … just a thought … fired up into the roof of a guard tower it works a treat.

true, but i cant stand people using panzerfaust as their only weapon! its so annoying, why cant they try to aim?! anyone can kill with a panzer, but not everyone can kill the same amount of people with a thompson.
But, yes, panzers are great for knocking out MG’s
I prefer the nade launcher. Bit more skill required, bit more satisfaction taken.
Only time I ever use them. If ever there is someone well concealed who is taking everyone out I’ll choose to respawn as a soldier with a panzer 
Either way, use the non-destructable terrain in a more logical manner in issues of defense when constructing maps. In the real world, artillery would dislodge that bunker wall and everyone in it… here, you’ve got yourself ultimate anti-artillery technology the army WISHES it had!
