Problems testing map

(Theisy) #1

My map is named city1, but I having problems getting it running. It gets stuck on the connecting page.

I have ran the following compiles:
BSP -meta
-vis -fast

I have been using the following commands in the console:

\sv_pure 0
\g_gametype 2
\devmap city1

any help would be greatly appreciated

In RTCW, I use a “/” instead of a backslash.

Try this sample map : http://www.planetquake.com/simland/ldr1_1/samplemap01a.html

It has all the correct components to run in the game.

Sock
:moo:

There is a problem with what your typing it should be :~

/sv_pure 0
/g_gametype 2
\devmap city1

its the orientation of your slashes that is letting you down remember to check that you have given the mapcoordmins and maxs in the worldspawn entity otherwise it will crash but like sock said if you are still struggling chack out his link.

Eh no. Either kind of slash will work, for any of the commands.

If the game hangs or crashes when you try to load host any map locally, you most likely have too many .pk3 files. Deleting or moving some custom maps and campaigns should fix that. See this thread:

just do that way :
run et type in console sv_pure 0 then host game and in game set gametype 2 and devmap {mapname}
