Problems signing in

(sneak) #1

Again, having issue signing in. Already made a thread on this on November 12th but nobody replied to it. Game randomly decides it wants to stop working. I’ve tried the things on the page linked by the error code but they don’t help.

The problem is an auth error. I see it’s a very common problem which has blatantly been ignored by Nexon/SD. I’d like a response on this now.

http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/1222/known-issues-work-arounds/p4

As you can see, multiple people have the same issue and no help is being provided.

Here’s the old thread I made that won’t bump when replied to: http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/comment/114962/#Comment_114962

Since I’m not getting a single response and the thread won’t bump I’m forced to create a new one. I just spent time trying to complete missions before the reset (which is now in 2 minutes). I had only one more game to play and plenty of time to complete the missions. One more game would have completed them for sure, based on how much XP I get per game and the amount left to complete. Now I can’t do those missions because of this nonsense, and I’m out credits I was working for.

When is there going to be a response for all these people having the same issue? It’s obviously a problem that needs to be fixed ASAP, instead of making new mercs. Howabout you make the game run first?

I want the credits for the 2 missions I was working on and for those to be cleared and to be given the next set of missions. It’s crazy that this has been broken for so long and people are just being ignored when they report the issue.

EDIT: After further digging, it looks like the problem is in the Event Viewer in Windows.

“The certificate received from the remote server has not validated correctly. The error code is 0x80092013. The SSL connection request has failed. The attached data contains the server certificate.”

ErrorCode 0x80092013

(Now that I’ve made this thread, the other thread bumped for the first time :open_mouth:)

I have a very similar, if not exactly the same problem.

It all started on the 14.11.2015.
I had some issues signing in before but using the disconnect command via console worked.
On that day I simply was not able to get in.
I tried to verify the game files. Steam found two corrupt ones which it replaced.
Then I was not able to start the game at all. There was only the NGS picture loading endless.
I then reinstalled the game and voila, it all worked.

Until today. Same problem.
I’m not able to sign in, verifying the game files leads to the problem mentioned above.

I now have to reinstall again and be happy that it works for another week.

Got any fix? :expressionless:

I’ve also tried the disconnect command in the console and it’s never worked for me. The game just tries again and fails with the same error.

I’m not getting stuck at the NGS splash art. Since your game is getting stuck there and won’t even run that suggests the problem isn’t very similar. The problem here is something with their SSL certification not working properly. It won’t log me in because of this. My game runs fine but I can’t be logged in.

If you’re using ESET, check out the thread I referred to explaining how to whitelist the game from being modified which seemed to work (for a while).

Same thing here.
It probably doesn’t work for you but a reinstall fixed it for me.
For now, atleast.

Maybe next time this happens I’ll try it out. Seems dumb, especially since you can verify game content. But it wouldn’t be that hard or take that long to download and install this again.

That’s the joke.
After I have verified the game files and Steam fixed the game it didn’t start at all.

Good luck.

I am still having this issue. My work around before was to turn off the firewall then have steam verfity and download 2 missing files and start game with firewall off. That works for a while but now no luck.

I opened a ticket but unless I get a url or a certificate to add it to my system I cannot see this issue going away anytime soon.

I made a ticket too and explained all information and linked them to the thread. I was replied with a copy/pasted generic answer telling me to do things I’ve already done. When I asked them to actually read what I said before replying they told me if it happens again to let them know.
