Problem with script_moving elevator

(rmcnew) #1

Hey guys, I got a problem with this script moving elevator that I have been working on … For some reason it sporatically gives me a “scriptmover needs model” error, and other times it works perfectly … Does anyone know what’s up with that?

whats your lift look like?

is it made of brushes?

more information

(rmcnew) #3

Yeah, it is made out of brushes … The funny thing is that sometimes the diffrence between getting that error or not is just moving some things around on my map without changing any of the settings; it’s odd like it is some software bug …

This may be showing you a whole lot, but this is what it looks like in the editor …

make the entity detail

by the looks of it everything is in order

just remove it for now and when you have more of your map done, put it back in

(Malverik) #6

do you have an origin brush for your script mover?
i know I had that error too once but i cant remember what caused it… I know it wasnt a very big deal

(rmcnew) #7

Yeah, it doesn’t really do anything, though…

(Oxygen - o2) #8

it dose alot

its the centre of the entity

maybe this could be an ET problem

want one ? I used it in my map Christmas hills…I can give you the script and such.

PM me.

An elevator?

(EB) #11

Yeah, well it is a lift type, but it works for bi-level movement. Scriptmover switches and such. Even if you just want it to look at or change the brushes to your liking…whatever.

PM me if you want it.

is that the map with the cannon you slide down and it then fires you into a mountain side?

GREAT MAP - love blocking people inside the cannon - does lead to a lot of TKs though - hehe

No, Sorry Danyboy…that is Northpole by Drakir.
