Problem with fate

I know this probably isn’t the place for this, but there’s no help on the site for fate. I get this error, I’ve tried installing it on two different comps and no luck, it’s version 0.13

Ok I just tried the earlier version, and I get the same exact error, how can this be on two totally different comps?Is this program a trojan or something, it seems a joke.And the website is slow moving garbage.

FATE is not a trojan. However, this seems a problem in the library. Are you sure that you extracted all .dll’s when installing it?

I followed all the instructions given, for the old version, and 0.13 has an installer, I geuss I’ll just build terrain the hard way.

strange… when do you get this error? immediately after starting the program or if you click on some certain button? did you try to start it from command line (aka DOS box or cmd.exe)? Is there some more information printed, if you start out of a DOS box? Do you have some other versions of GTK installed? And maybe you might be so kind and send me your PATH settings (just type “echo %PATH%” into a DOS box). Thanks for helping me to debug this strange error!

I got it to work, I was trying to export it with a different name, you have to browse to the exact file you saved with the editor.It also happens when you don’t save the map at all, and just try to export what’s on screen. Maybe just a warning to save it first and browse to the right file would suffice.Also when trying to click right mouse button for free move I have to click it like 4-5 times,really annoying.And when it exprts everything’s fine till the end, and it says shaderlist.txt not found, is this something not finished yet, or is it something on my end?
