Problem with devmap and Windows

:stroggtapir: when i write
/sv_pure 0
/g_gametype 2
/devmap great

the loading bar is appearing, its loading and in the end windows shows me a message for a error
We are sorry … but ET.exe needs to close
Send error report and bla bla…
even if i write
/logfie 2
/g_scriptdebug 1
/developer 1
/sv_pure 0
/g_gametype 2
/devmap great
it again crashes… pls help
my gtk does not give any error so all is fine but ET dont think so…

Do you have custom script file or custom shaders? Usually even the slightest errors in scripts and shaders cause et to crash. Even like 1 letter.

Do you have custom script file or custom shaders? Usually even the slightest errors in scripts and shaders cause et to crash. Even like 1 letter. So what I’d do.

First try to load another map. If it crashes too, there’s probably typo in shaders or something. If it doesn’t it’s probably your map or script.

Next step delete the script file of your map. If it still crashes open the map file in notepad and search. If it doesn’t, search your script through many times until you find the typos.

Yes you are using et 2.55 right?
Do you have set mapcoords right?

@scary mapcoords’s freeze very much not the same as xp “app error” type crash

i fixed the problem with reinstalling

just make shortcut to desktop and add this line to cmd line

+set g_gametype 2 +set g_engineerChargeTime 0 +set sv_pure 0 +devmap yourmap

so it always starts with these settings
