Problem with a spotlight/light

(Daemia) #1

Hello all!
I added red spotlight to my map and after loading it in-game the textures that the light affects were rendering as black-yellow but exactly the same textures on other spot that the light did not affect were there. After loosing the red spotlight it was ok again, so i tried it with normal red light - again, some textures missing.

The layout

I use Gtkradiant 1.5, thank you very much.

Are they shaders or textures?

(Blowfish) #3

Exactly, show use your shaders  Resistance is futile …

Hello, the textures that were gone were regular textures without shader file that i found under pak0.pk3/textures/military/military_wall, named concrete_m01 for wall and concrete_m05c for floor and ceiling.

Not sure about others as i have deleted the file already, but i chose all textures except lights without a shader file.

i thought all textures had shaders, gtk does make a default shader for thoose?

(Pande) #6

ya there is a default shader used for all, but if he had a faulty custom shader it may be possible that his lightmap fails. (for example I know using rgbGen lightingDiffuse can fudge up normal brushes, only works properly on player models afaik)

edit: weps too, thanks for reminding me thunder.

that’s true @pande i’ve only seen that shader on playermodels or weapons
