problem starting map

Im very confused right now. I have done everything needed (I think)

I did the ~, and the sv_pure 0, and devmap mapname, but still, when I try to start the map, ET shuts down. Is this a problem with my computer, or is there something I missed?

I suggest you stop posting and start reading the sticky threads at the top of the forum. If you open the thread : http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1710 you will notice at the top it says in big bold letters “IMPORTANT THREADS”. One of these threads is called “Map basic Requirements”. Read this thread and take note.
