you need it to edit the cfg-files ( explicit the jaymod.cfg … its in the download included) or take this: http://www.clanfu.org/jaymod/2.1.7/html/config.html

you dont need it to install a server

if you wanna run costum-maps you have to upload 'em via ftp in the etmain-folder of your rented server … additional files like the client or skins and so on you have to upload 'em via ftp in the jaymod-folder on your dedicated server

edit:i installed 2.60 patch.Now i need only to know what is this ftp file.Also, i did rent dedicated gameserver.

well why dont you read manuals and forums, because what you are asking us to do is write you a manual for noobs, “drag your mous to link pres left mouse button , etc”
We don’t have time for that, we can answer questions, but not tell you from scratch every single step…
maybe you can get somebody to do it for you?
ffs, man, why dont u register in jaymod forums and ask that, instead of registering into a map making community… u still got plenty useful links from us, just navigate, use common sense, have ability to use computer, internet… else no matter what we give u cant use it.
