problem everyone have with phantom ???

what i’m talking about it’s the Katana sword almost every card i have that phantom has a knife instead of katana the phantom specialty it’s in his armor and the sword so people use all their credits to trade Up for gold or cobalt phantom with a sword instead they get phantom without a sword and this annoying as hell and make players really mad and i hope in the future update they would remove the knife and all kind of melee weapons in phantom except the Katana

That’s what people find very weird. Phantom’s katana is based off of his refractive armor ability to be pieced together and be used in combat. Apparently right now this is least of the worries. Phantom still needs to be fixed and buffed and pretty much all melees, especially the heavy attacks needs their hitbox and animations tweaked so players can target their enemy at the right time.

Buy the cards that don’t have the knife on them…? It’s only 17.5k creds for a guaranteed katana loadout.

Yeah, the shop exists for a good reason.
That reason is the trade up system is trash.

You shouldn’t be trading up anyways unless you have a Bronze loadout with that merc.

well the cards shop has only bronze cards and we need gold or cobalt cards and the trade up system sucks that’s why i never trust trade up never give me what i want

I cosnider silver and gold cards as the “prestige” of DB somethign you get fro your favorie merc just cuase you love to play as him.

I have 4 gold cards.
2 for Fragger whos my 2nd favorie character and the oen i use the most for ranked. altho they are the saem card. oen of em has the swiss camo, which looks badass IMO.
Another for Sawbonez cuz hes the first merc i bougth and i liek him as a merc overall
FInally one for Phantom which i got from a case, it has the katana, but no choopa. still i like it

Only use tradeups if the merc has a number of decent cards (all the recent releases), a lot of the older mercs have a card that is straight up the best so you will want to buy that from the store.

Also my problem with Phantom is that he can activate a shield that brings him above 150 effective HP, and then he can attack directly out of it for 100+ damage. Not fair.

You don’t need gold or cobalt. They are just cosmetic versions of the nine bronze cards. Just making sure you know that!

I’m waiting until there is some way I can guarantee getting a Cobalt C94, be it buy trading with someone else or choosing the card I want through trade up. That said they have said he will be “reworked”, so we’ll have to see if that means changing his loadout cards.

I’d like to see a baton with the same mobility as the Beckhill Combat Knife.
Just with cricket bat range and lower RoF.

Also, they buffed the Knife, which made it good on Phantom because it gives him the same mobility as the Stiletto. Do not think that Phantom should be a melee class. He’s not even good at it or being an Assault class. He needs a spotting ability.

it’s not cheap to buy the bronze card that u want it’s for 17k credits and that’s 2 much for 1 card it’s better to trade up for bronze and take the chance of getting katana loadout

i played melee phantom on min 10server with ok players, ended up with 45/30 k/d
(it was only melee) but wit gun it would be probably 70/20
