Problem about manners & forcin solutions

(Nimron) #1

Hey Folks,

ive done that, playing 100h + this magnificent game, but the last week was just horrible.
3 of 4 games (pub) were ruind because of the lack in manners for making fair teams.

Team A stompin Team B or B stompin A, leading by 2-3 “Killers” who dont give a xxxx about fun & fairness.

or

Team A got 7 Players, Team B got 5 but no1 is willing to change nor use the “shuffle team” function.

Im curious, re u guys about to thinking of an autoteambalance ingame?

I dont talk about schemes like lvls! Just a system what analyses the current game situation and if needed, forcing 1 of the “Killers” into other team to give them a chance.

Im tired of beggin People for making fair teams to increase the fun & make it more challenging.
They wont do it, u know it like i do.

Experienced it tons of times, no1 cares.
This will go one till all the new players re pissd of & quit.

This great game deserves it better.

hope for some backup from u guys, and i apologize im not a native english speaker :open_mouth:

That’s an issue with the matchmaker in DB. But you are lucky, because right now the situation is fairly acceptable. Before the change on casual obj spawnkilling and team stacking was pretty much a common situation.

Dev continuously improve the matchmaking tho, eventually it will reach a decent level of balance when making the teams. And since party matching will be a thing i hope they redo stopwatch like they did with objective.

When I play with Forsaken (which is 99.9% of the time), we have to be on the same team. Why? She sits right next to me. We tried playing on opposite teams and found those elite ninja stealth plants just are not happening when she/I can look over at the screen. So I can honestly say Ive been guilty of that sometimes myself. Sorry about that.

However, I do see your point and we actually have been trying to break it up a little because sometimes it is not fair by playing on the same team. I think players need to police themselves so that everyone can try to enjoy the game. If you want to stack your team, put together a party and go play competitive.

This “get a Party 2gether” sounds like an excuse, nothin more.

Until they implement an autoteambalance infight, the cases like i ve described will go on & on & on…

Been playin fps since 14 years now. Cs (not dat global shit) Tf 1/2 have done it well, so how about u , dirty bomb?

Lookin forward for some major & usefull changes.

People bitch about it even more in competitive…
Seriously, everyone gets all butthurt about a 5 man stack in competitive, when the truth is:
You’re putting yourself at a disadvantage by NOT being in a 5 man team. It’s practically the same issue that is in pubs, but worse.

Good point. But they should expect friends to play together in competitive.

Matches does not last long enough for any type of shuffle to have a real impact.

Not to mention, why is there an option to shuffle stopwatch matches during the second round? I swear, there are just so many design decisions that scream “just play casual deathmatch while we pretend to be about something else”.

(DMaster2) #12

That useless matchmaker is what help teams be balanced and avoid spawnkilling a fair amount of times…

You dont wanna get my point, right? That fancy balanced number lvl slot game doesnt matter ingame. Saw several 30ers who got raped by 10er.

----> boom 5 vs 7 ( INGAME, NOT MATCHMAKIN SCREEN )
------> continues for the nxt 8 mins, no shuffling of Teams
--------> game ruined

there is a problem right there. Are you saying only premades of 5 should be allowed to play matchmaking? There is a huge potential in soloqueue matchmaking, but atm. its completely squandered by the likelihood of getting stomped by a premade.

You also put yourself at a disadvantage by NOT being a Q3/ECTW/whatever pro with 15 year of experience. That’s why we have matchmaking that, you know, should match people with similar chances of winning. 5 man premade vs solo queuers is no fun for anyone.

I’m not saying that the current matchmaking algorithm is bad. No way to tell from the outside. Probably playerbase it’s just too small.

(Nimron) #16

Most of the people re playin Pub, not competitive.

In the moment, only thing u can do is campin/trollin/killin till lose & that is a disappointment.

2 possibilities:

U guys re playin a different game
or
i just got reaaaaaaaaaaaaly unlucky last weeks

(DMaster2) #17

I do, but you can’t force people to want play balanced. I myself refused shuffling sometimes because i needed to get the first win credits. The only thing that can help balance comes from the game. You can’t educate people. Don’t even start thinking about it, it’s a lost battle.

As i mentioned before, some other games did it succesfully.

I know, this CoD kids generation likes it ruff & fast, but doesnt mean it is good for every other game. :stuck_out_tongue:

The difference between those two points is the fact that you have ACCESS to one of those things. You can’t be a 15 year player right now, but you CAN be a 5 man with just a bit of organization.

I don’t think premades of 5 should be the only ones allowed to play, but I do think players need to realize that this is COMPETITIVE. This is a gamemode where team play is extremely important, and by not playing with people you can have synergy with, you’re placing yourself at a major disadvantage. This is separate from pubs for a reason.
