Hi i got 1 computer for playing and yeh i want to play not only host…

Im going to arrange a maptest with some friends, last time i did i simply hosted a server sw (stopwatch) on one computer and a little booriinnngg window appeared…
What the problem is that we all got one computer can players still connect to my ip if i host so im sitting behind the host computer with referee and can play there

If so how mouch internet usage will this be? (for me)

Ehm ehm yeh i use modem and it takes a lot of surf to play online games…
Are server things using more surf (are they cost more)

Last time we/I tested my maps i maded a sw server and added voting for maps so we had ability to change the map when we have test it.

Bah, eyh are there any compleate tutorial or text about non LAN LAN party?
So exactly as a lan you host a server but youre only 3 local and 4 from others parts of the city

And how to not beeing seen on master serverlist:p

Depending on your upload speed /outgoing Kb/s you are pretty much limited when i comes to players
How to get it out from your house is another thing.

First of all if you’re hosting a windows server you need to deactivate the firewall, dont ask why… just do
second you have to open some ports in your modem, I think from 27950 - 27980 should be ok
not being seen is not possible but you can password protect your server in your config
set g_password “your password of choice”

I would rather go here and set up an server on linux for 5$…

the game uses several ports to comunicate, send data recive data… If you look, most servers have ip: xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:port (usually 27960)

EDIT:
Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is a World War ll style FPS which is very popular due to the free clients available for Linux, Windows and Mac. The game itself isn’t so bad either. This article will explain how to quickly set-up an ET server but also guide you towards an advanced customized server. But before you start anything, you should take a look at the game’s requirements. To run a dedicated server, you should have at least:
 1.3 GHz processor;
 128 MB RAM (assuming no other apps run in the background);
 T1 Internet connection (1.5 Mbps);
 UDP ports from 27950 to 27965 opened/forwarded.

EDIT2: from here

You only need to open one port. If you host a server for both 2.55 and 2.60 clients, both client versions need their own ports though. The port you need to open is defined by the cvar net_port. If you use a multipatch server engine, check the documentation for the other port.
