already posted in competitive section, but i thought that this section would probably get more views.
Private matches
Yeah man. I’ll add you when I get home. But why private? Owning bots is not even close to as fun as owning people.
lol he means full human 8v8, 5v5, w/e private matches. Sadly, even with all the people on my friend’s list I really can’t get this going on a given night. I’m definitely in though.
I quite enjoy bot matches. 90% of all my matches played of Quake 3 were bot match, and even more for UT.
Bots don’t have emotion. They don’t talk trash and don’t get satisfaction from killing you. They won’t target and follow you around the map. They don’t brag or teabag to be a smartass. They don’t get angry and ragequit. They are always available to play with, even when real people are not and for the most part, they know how to properly play the game.
I can definitely say that games that include bots are a godsend.
probably 5v5. i doubt i can get enough people together right now for 8v8.
hosting these in MNC really helped up the community, and i would like to do the same for this game.
just the same as MNC privates, i will probably do them when i have about 20% more than the necessary amount of people online, so in laymans terms: whenever i have 12 people on at once who are willing.
Last time I did a private match when the DLC launched, everybody and their brother showed up.
yeah, i find that a lot of people get put off by the “competitive” nature of them, but once you get someone to try it out, they tend to come back a lot.

I concur. Wish that the bots would have better scaling AI though depending on the situation in game. If a team of 8 is raping a team of 2, I wish the team of 6 bots would get ramped up to HARD AI.
I played a few HARD AI private matches last night with 3 humans+5 bots vs 8 bots and those damned bots kicked our ass on Terminal. They had the train on lock down and we could not deliver the package/get on the train.
some of the most fun i had in this game was me and a handful of friends taking on both campaigns on hard difficulty.
unrelated: F*** shipyard security vs hard AI

Me too. Played campaign all the way through multiple times with different friends. Fun as hell. ANd yeah, F*** shipyard. But we got-her-done!

Wow.
Anyway, I’d like to play in these private matches. Only human matches though.
i’ve been spectating some all bot matches lately…it’s really interesting what they do when there’s no humans on their team, but man do they have some foul things to say about their human teammates when there’s noone around.
