Pretty unhappy about my ban

So I’ve been playing Dirty Bomb for about 2-3 months. I play via Steam mostly with friends from home and at a local lan centre. I tried logging on at home the other day and get a message that I’m banned/blocked permanently for using 3rd party apps.

I haven’t cheated, hacked or used any 3rd party apps at all. I’ve never cheated on an online game and my Steam account is 100% with no bans or VAC offenses.

My home PC has had a lot of viruses and spyware recently so I did a scan and several files were found in my Steam directory. I sent this log to customer services to try and strengthen my proof/argument. They didn’t even read my evidence or look at the screenshot.

I play from a local lan centre so I’m not sure if that’s been a problem I cannot account for the apps or software on someone elses computers. Very annoyed as I love the game I don’t cheat and I’ve spent money on stuff too.

Anyone from Nexon able to help me please?

Hi, nexon will not help you. Good luck if what you say is true. Post in “discution” because even mods don’t go there :smiley:
You can still recreat an account on a new steam…

I dont wanna have to make a new account though I put loads of time and effort in i didn’t hack not my fault.

I’ve got a 100% clean steam account I’ve even voted off and reported cheaters in game. Pretty frustrating as I really support the game but if I don’t get unbanned I won’t be making a new account and my friends will stop playing too.

All I can think its the Dirty Bomb anti cheat has detected my files are changed/modded or made a mistake because of spyware and virsuses I’m pretty sure the lan centre I use has clean PC’s but how am I to know?

hey dude i believe u ! i got 2 acc banned using cpu and ram logging software. i had bad fps lag on dirty bomb on an i5 cpu so installed software to monitor processes. i got banned and didnt know why so made a new acc and same thing happened. i guess nexon’s anti cheat is whacky and bans u for anything… good luck mate keep emailing support fingers crossed i might ring the customer service as i spend my earned money on this game and at the end of it we both want to support a game like u say just the feels my main acc was lvl 25 with all mercs unlocked

Spent $15 on the game for a credit boost and to buy Phantom. Played for a couple of months with a few friends, we were having a blast and I was really enjoying the game. Until a week or two ago I log in and find myself to be banned.

Now for my ban; I use Razer Synapse due to macroing keys for quick-chat callouts in Smite. VVL for laugh, VGH for Hi, etc. I know xigncode or whatever their screening software is happens to be sensitive to macro’d key press commands to prevent firing a single fire full-auto similar to PunkBuster for APB. (If I even have the macros enabled on the keyboard from playing Smite, PB kicks me every 15 minutes for ‘suspicious/disallowed programs’). During the most recent update before my ban, I log in with Synapse having actively macro’d keys and I get kicked. I disable the macros, load the game up just fine and continue to play. That’s why I was surprised that I was suddenly banned.

I also have a 100% clean steam, and I have well over 1000 hours on APB: Reloaded to back up my being a clean player. I also streamed Dirty Bomb a TON when I played. If I were actually cheating, my stream would have been evidence of that. I was hopeful I’d get unbanned, but after reading forum posts and Reddit comments that seems to be impossible.

Good luck to you, if I don’t get unbanned I won’t be playing DB even on a new account. I don’t mind spending money on a game but when my money isn’t improving the issues (over-tuned anti-cheat) then I’ve had enough.
