Press "F" to look at your weapon

(BasilBst) #1

I know that at this stage, it’s not an essential feature. But if the economy of the game is based on Mercs and Skins, why not be allowed to examine your weapon in game (of course like CS:GO).

Plus, there is a lot of running around (going to an objective) or waiting time in this game. I think it would be appropriate. But again, it’s just something very optional that I would cheerfully welcome.

Why not making an awful skin-box system then where Valve always wins and skins which are worth multiple thousands of Dollars?

I wouldn’t mind seeing features like that even if they aren’t original. It’s a good way to show off cosmetics and it doesn’t hurt gameplay.

Cool idea. I’d love to be able to press ‘F’ on an ally and see what card they have equipped as well as see a weapon model.

(BasilBst) #5

And more there will be loadout cards, more there will be skins. (Which there will be)

So the ability to look at your weapon skin in game, will legitimate the research of new skins. It’s a win-win feature for the Devs (more case purchase) and for the players that like to collect. (and show off i guess)

Terrible.

Dunno DB is a fast packed game, where every second counts. The only time your team wouldn’t suffer because you stand around admiring Rhinos equipment, would be while you are dead or the short waiting time before the game. And that allready shows you the Loadoutcard from the guy who killed you lets you see the weaponskins of your teammates via spectate. And in the prematch waiting you can look at your teamates Playermodels.

Not sure if any improvements to this are really needed? I’d rather see programming ressources spend somewhere else to be honest.

Well… not “F” because it’s already used for many other things, but I do like the idea of being able to inspect your items in game.

([ F² ! MADCAP ]) #9

i like this idea, but on a different key, not “F”

(BasilBst) #10

Of course, the title was a reference to the key mapping in CS.

Dont have time or need to scan my equipped skins, gotta go fast, melee weapon sprinting. Thus running animation would override any fancy gun inspections most of the time.

But now that i think of it. Would be cool to have people inspecting their guns so the people who actually play the game can shoot them in the head, preferably make it so that the inspect animation cannot be cancelled  Also ad an exclamation mark over their head to indicate that they are free pickings. Maybe add melee kill bonus to these inspectors, hmm we can take this idea to the moon…

(lemonLugnut) #12

Well it’s just like in CS:GO it’s a feature you do not need.
For me i played with Standart-skins all the time and sold Skins up to 400USD on eBay wich was fine for me. If there are people who are stupid enough to spend money on a virutal item wich won’t even grant any kind of benefit…well…thats 201X (put any number)

(BasilBst) #13

Well, as I said, it would be an optional and gimmicky feature.

But it still interest me and some other players I’m sure.

(BasilBst) #14

It’s a mater of taste and where you get some of your fun.

If someone plays DB to collect all the cards rather then playing in a competitive way, I don’t think you can qualify him as a stupid human being.

(XavienX) #15

That would actually be informational if you’re curious whether that guy is hacking or a pro and you wanna know what augments they have and such.

I wish quickchat commands came with emotes. Taunting someone to flip the bird or something would be really amusing for me and give me all the more reason to spam chat.
