Preorders

(LyndonL) #1

When can we expect to see Preorders on the Steam Store? I see that preorder is available in hardcopy already, so assume that doing so on Steam should be viable?

When preorders become available, can we predownload it (obviously not til a few days before release) so that it can be played as soon as the game is unlocked?

Request: A 4 pack purchase similar to what’s offered with L4D and Borderlands etc would be awesome

Maybe they should do an 8-pack special since it’s 8 player

(.Chris.) #3

You mean 16?

(Voxie) #4

It’s 8 vs 8, so an eight pack would make sense. Either buy four for the price of three or buy eight for the price of five. If you want to go into extreme overkill mode, you could buy a 16-pack for the price of nine copies.

The multi-buy deals seems to cater for the coop part. L4D has 8 players in vs but they aimed it at 4 players.

Taking the piss aside… getting 4 people willing to collude is a lot easier than 8

I would assume this is Bethesda’s call anyway…?

(Wolfmeister) #7

Altho i love that you think big i think it “might” be hard to get 8 friends to buy it

(DarkangelUK) #8

Well it’s the incentive I guess… if there’s a big enough saving you’ll find people. We managed to get 4 on IRC to buy BC2 as it worked out at something like £22 each. But yeah i think 4 is the sweetspot

I got Borderlands, Global Agenda and L4D2 as 4-packs. When it comes to Borderlands and Global Agenda im really happy i got them so cheap

L4D2 is worth full price but i got it for almost half thanks to the 4-pack deal.

Haha, seconded on the Borderlands statement… I made the mistake of PAYING for DLC too…

Splash Damage, please if you release DLC, don’t do it the greedy way. Fans will always want something extra special if they have to cough up for it and if it isn’t brilliant, they will be nothing but bitter.
