Premade matchmaking likelihood?

Just wondering what the likelihood of being able to do premade matchmaking in this phase of the beta?

Let me play with my friends, yo!

Well I agree that would be more fun… But since we are in beta and they are testing their random MM system I dont think that’ll happen in this phase.

Last night we tried to sync the moment we pressed “find match” and it kind of worked:p

Hey chaps, a fair bit of work has gone into improving the matchmaking system since the last test. The party matchmaking side of things hasn’t quite caught up yet, but that’s definitely very high on our priority list. Party MM won’t be available this weekend…however you’ll be able to easily jump in-game with your friends whenever we switch from MM to the server browser over the weekend. The SB is up right now, so feel free to jump in with some friends and get blasting

Some sort of 'how experienced are you? 1. very bad to 5. best of the best" to help the matchmaking algorithm before it has any data to work with when a player plays the game for the first time.

Would be nice for beginners to face people more similar to their skill level

Pretty sure the problem isnt that they don’t know how to do it, but that they are working on implementing it correctly with the current matchmaking (which is what this weekends test seems to be intended for)

Indeed, we’ve got the UI and flow in place already, some of you may have seen part of that last time we tested. It’s the brains behind the beast that still needs to be finished at, ;).

That would VERY much be open to abuse, and frankly, unless you’ve been playing the game for a while it’s difficult to rank yourself in comparison to the majority of the playerbase. On the plus side of things, you only need to get through those placement matches once…so it won’t be a frequent thing (other than when we wipe :P).
