I think you read that wrong. He said you can force steam to preload the game without having it preordered on steam / entered a key yet. I am one of those cheap D2D guys and would like to preload the game so I can get to play right after getting home from university, but I did not receive a key from D2D yet and have little hopes I will until release day.

After doing some research entering steam://preload/22350/ should be correct but nothing seems to happen. Maybe I am missing something?

I did pre-order but I did start my preload this way to test it and it’s working.
