OK so its just about 2 weeks till awesome, I and a few friends have been wondering if there will be a preload option on steam so we can set it to download while at work. and be ready to play as soon as we get home on release day.

You might want to ask this on the Bethesda and Steam forums as it’s entirely up to them. But yes it’s not uncommon to see preloads a day or 2 before release.

i really hope so. Dowload speed can be prohibitive in my part of the world.
