PowerHouse ! New map

Hi everybody,

Here’s a new project of map for ET : PowerHouse !

You’ll find all the details and about 20 screenshots there :

This homepage isn’t finished, just like the map.
So, don’t hesitate to come again on the homepage and to press F5.
There will be update, especially for the screenshots.

For the map,so far, all the buildings have been made, more details will come later.
But we’re still working on the script. So we’re not going to release it now.

Meanwhile, for having read a lot of thread here, we’d like to have your comments, advices, dreams etc…
We know that the comments of this forum are always very precise and constructive.
So early comments, even if the map has not been released yet, could help us of not making countless corrections after the public release !

The objectives of the map :

  • Each team has one truck (but wrecks) and must escort it to the PowerHouse.
  • Then, the Allies have to stole the documents (check the site to know why) which are inside the PowerHouse and to deliver them in the Radio, while the axis must prevent them to do so.
  • For all the details, check the site.

Well, so far, i’ve started 1 or 2 thread on different forums, and now they’re 8 pages long ! Lol !

So I’ve decided to gather only the most recent stuff on 1 little site as friends proposed me to do it quickly.
And opening a little forum is more welcoming than a 8 pages long thread !

Anyway, glad you like the screenshots !

The “thing”:eek: in the middle is a lighting abstract statue (you haven’t understood ? me neither !)

The idea I’ve head:
First team that brings the wreck to the target can defend.
The other team has to steal the docus.
New type of game mode.

My english is a little poor, so I didn’t understood the meaning of wreck

destruição = destruction

google translated the same way

Wreck is the truck or something in the box of the truck ?

It is very encouraging to finish it !

For the comp or fun, well only the players can decide this.
Honestly, I think it is adapted for small and large teams.

  • Small teams will focus on escorting the wrecks, trying to take the shortest way to the other’s wreck. And, overall, the map is not so large. So I think the wreck’s race can be fun with organised small teams.
  • Large teams on public servers will certainly use all the differents paths and especially the “one way paths” as they lead directly to the enemy side. And there are a lot of different ways to go to the objectives.So it can be fun too.

To “Get_it” :
Nao falo muito bem português.
Mas, “Wrecks” pode ser “destroços” o “fragil e velho veiculo”.

Sorry for the missing “acentos” !

In simple terms : Wreck is the truck.
You can shoot with any weapons to damage it !

Any of you have family in Portugal / Brazil or studied portuguese ?

It is interesting to know that many people (that it is not portuguese, of course) know, at least a bit of portuguese, I thought that in many countries the second language was the french or the english (in countries where is not the mother-language).

Now back to your map, I don’t want to get my post too off-topic :smiley:

Well, I have some links with people who speaks Portugues. I went there several times (I live in France so it’s not that far), and even in your own city. And my little pocket dictionnary helped me a lot to write these two sentences ! But you would certainly not understand me if you were listening to me ! :wink:

For the map, yeah, i hope the wrecks’ race is gonna be fun. I can’t wait to see some players trying to be the fastest team !

For new game modes, except for the wrecks’ race, PowerHouse is not so innovative, you’d better try MLB Bayraid, or BaseRace or even et_Marketgarden, and others … , these maps offers alternative game modes that are interesting.
