Powerball issues

(nukits) #1

Hello people.
I have some issues with powerball mod since im trying to make map for powerball to play with my friends etc…
Everytime when i want to test my map with powerball mod then my ET crashes when i join a team or open limbo menu, i can only fly as spectator.

And are there any powerball prefabs? Because im not sure if i did this right etc… and cant even test a map.

Nukits.

You need to add this to your entity definition: http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showpost.php?p=59095&postcount=37

the mod Powerball was renamed to Domination, make sure to get the latest version.
If you have your own linux server I can give you a copy of my old Domination server… comes with some fixes… would like to join aswell

I found the backup of a server I had, I made a few existing maps working with this mod. I guess the nicest is the goldendunk. AFAIK I modified the default powerball in that pk3, not everyone likes that. Some mapscripts, afaik goldendunk and bzz_drunk I modified the powerball to another model.

Make a mapscript which ends with mymapname_pb.script maybe its just crashing cause of that. Well you also need to set correct gametype I think. Maybe using et-domination version instead of Powerball fixes all that already…

Maybe you just forgot mapcoordsmins maxs?

Map sources for the stock maps were released with the mod.

Thaks for replies, ive downloaded Domination mod and stuff but now when i try to test my map then i get error: SV_SetBrushModel: NULL…

Im really weak at scripting, would be great if someone have prefab with scripts included or smth

That’s an entity issue, either you deleted an entity but it remains in the .map file or you have an origin brush somewhere all alone or something. check your .map with text editor and search for any entities that normally have brush data that are missing the brush data and remove the entity manually.
